This event is open to all watercooled VW powered cars, and all Audis.
Additionally for 2007, the event is open to Vintage (air-cooled) VWs for drag racing and for a Show & Shine area

Rules and Regulations

  • Pre-registration is non-refundable and non-transferable.  If the event is postponed, registration fees will be honored at a future date.
  • The organizers reserve the right of selection or refusal of any person and/or vehicle.
  • Show vehicles will not be allowed to leave the premises for any reason until the end of the show.
  • Vehicles on the premises after 5:00 PM on the day of the event will be towed at owner's risk and expense.
  • Support vehicles must be attended while on the premises during show set-up and tear-down.
  • No loud music from display cars or support vehicles for the duration of the event and during set-up and tear-down.
  • No drilling, digging, cutting, or otherwise damaging property to set-up any displays.
  • Please obey all posted speed limits while on the Pacific Raceways property.
  • All safety guidelines and a tech inspection for your race vehicle must be met. If your car does not pass a technical inspection, you will not be able to race, and no refund will be issued.
  • All attendees (participants, and spectators) will be subject to the liability statement below, and there will be signs posted for public display on the day of the event. Your registration and acceptance of the rules is your statement that you accept the liability statement as well.
  • In addition, Pacific Raceways will have a race participants signing a separate release waiver that you must abide by.
  • Participants and attendees will also follow all Pacific Raceways posted signs, rules, and all directions given by Pacific Raceways officials.
  • Due to neighborhood restrictions, no loud drag motors or racing before 9AM.  Failure to comply will result in immediate action, and you and your vehicle will be escorted off the property with no refund.

Liability Statement - as seen on the registration form:
In signing the above, I do hereby release the organizers of the waterwagens show, all associated sponsors and/or vendors, and Pacific Raceways from any and all liability concerning the loss of personal property and/or personal injury that might occur either directly or indirectly from my attending or participating  in the event. I also release the organizers of the show to submit my pre-registration information to any/all show sponsors. Also, I herby release Northwest European/waterwagens to use any images of my vehicle taken at the event for promotional material for future events.  I agree to abide by all standards and rules set forth by judges and organizers of waterwagens and I hereby agree to accept under reasonable conditions the final judgment and award of prizes of the participating judges of the event.

All rules/regulations of Pacific Raceways will be in effect for the drag racing portion of waterwagens:

PACIFIC RACEWAYS RULES & REGULATIONS

1. ALL NHRA RULES APPLY: Please refer to the NHRA Rulebook for clarification.
2. DRIVERS RESPONSIBILITY: Any infraction may result in disqualification (driver can be disqualified for the actions of their crew).
3. PLEASE - NO ENGINE NOISE PRIOR TO 9 AM OR AFTER 5 PM during February, March, April, September and October or 11pm May through August on Friday & Saturday (10 pm on Wednesday)
4. TECHNICAL/SAFETY INSPECTION: You must pass Tech prior to making a run.
5. WARM UPS: All warm-ups must be confined to the pit area. Jack stands must be used.
6. STAGING: DO NOT PULL into the staging lanes until your class has been called. Please monitor the PA or 540 AM for staging lane assignments.
7. TIME TRIALS/ELIMINATIONS: Please report to the staging lanes when you are called.
8. DIAL-INS: Must be the same and located on front window, drivers side, and rear window.
Motorcycles must report numbers and dial-ins to the tower before eliminations.
You cannot dial out of your bracket.
Jr. Dragsters must have dial-ins permanently displayed.
No dial-ins on tires.
9. SPLIT TREE/MOTORCYCLES: The tree for motorcycles in eliminations is set up for a .500 full tree, those riders wishing to receive a .400 pro tree must display their dial-in as: (example 9.50P)
10. OIL DISPOSAL: All oil must be dumped in the oil trailer located near tech.
11. SPEED LIMIT: 10 mph all roads.
12. RESTRICTED AREAS: All persons entering the restricted areas must sign the waiver and release prior to entering. Restricted area wristband must be in plain view. Signup is in Suite 103 at the base of Tower.
13. CHILDREN UNDER 18: Minor release forms must be filled out and turned in at restricted area signup.
14. TECH CARDS: Please fill out legibly in pen and sign.
15. SCOREBOARDS: During eliminations it is your responsibility to check your dial-in prior to staging. If its not correct you must notify the starter. Upon staging you have accepted the race.
16. INCREMENTAL TIMES (60', 330, 660', 1,000'): These times are provided as an extra and are not guaranteed.
17. TAIL LIGHTS: Night racing, lights must be on when leaving the staging lanes.
18. TEAM PACIFIC: You must sign up when registering for your competition number to run for points.
19. RACE DIRECTOR: Decisions are final in all cases.
20. HAND STAMP: If you leave the facility you must get a hand stamp prior to leaving.
21. COMPETITION NUMBERS: You must purchase a competition number to participate at Pacific Raceways during the season.
22. EXCESSIVE BREAKING: There will be no excessive braking at the finish line - starters decision is final.
23. SECURE TRACK: The gates will be locked 30 minutes after the last car crosses the finish line.

TECH RULES:
Tech guidelines as presented by Pacific Raceways

  • Car must be in sound/legal mechanical condition to provide a safe environment for racing
  • Seat belts are mandatory
  • Long pants (no shorts) must be worn on the track
  • You must hold a valid Driver's License
  • Vehicle must have a 16 ounce overflow bottle for your radiator
  • Helmets (Snell 90 or newer) are required for drivers of cars that run 13.99 1/4 mile ET and faster.
