Q: Where can I get information on being a sponsor or a vendor? A: We welcome enthusiastic parties to join us in presenting this annual event. Please see the Contact Us page for options on getting in touch with Northwest European and learning of the different opportunities that exist. Q: When and Where is the 2007 event? A: Sunday, July 29th, 2007. The event is at Pacific Raceways in Auburn, Washington. Please see the Event Info page for a map and directions. Q: When do I show up that day? A: If you are entering your car in the show, you need to arrive between 8AM and 10AM for car show set-up. If you arrive after 10AM, you will not be able to enter your car in the show, even if you are pre-registered. If you are drag racing, you will need to show up for tech no later than 9AM. Tech will run from 8AM -10AM only, so please arrive on time at or before 9AM. (no loud drag race engines allowed before 9AM due to neighborhood restrictions) If you are both showing and racing, you will need to arrive at 8AM to get through judging and tech before you can get onto the drag strip. Please be sure to let the waterwagens staff know that you are showing and racing as you drive in so you can be routed to the appropriate lane for tech and judging before you get on the track for drag racing. If you are a spectator coming to see the event, come anytime after 10AM when the public gates open to see all of the cars, and visit with all of the vendors/sponsors at their booths. Q: What is waterwagens and how did it start? A: waterwagens is the premier northwest Audi and Volkswagen event. The event is comprised of a world-class car show, and drag racing for water-cooled Volkswagen and Audi cars. The annual event was conceived over the Summer of 2000, and put together in initial planning and writing that winter. Northwest European was formed to facilitate the organization of this event. The first annual show was held in August of 2001 in Olympia, WA at St. Martins College. Q: Where can I find information or pictures on the past events? A: You can find all historical information, including pictures, results and assorted media coverage in the archives section of the website. Q: What if I want to show my car, but do not want to be judged? A: Not a probelm. Many people do this every year. Just register and get a prime parking spot in the event area, then come up to the registration tent and ask for a "Do Not Judge" card that morning. Q: Can I bring my dog to the event? A: Pets are allowed, but not strongly encouraged. Drag cars can be loud, and moving cars and dogs can be problematic. If you do decide to bring your dog, bring plenty of water, and be very careful with the leash around show cars to not scratch anything. Q: I pre-registered for the event, but did not receive a confirmaiton email? A: Not a probelm. You should have your registration number that displays after your purchase is completed on the site. This is what is included in the email as well. However, the front gate staff will check you in based on your full name and car, the reg number is just a back-up to help if needed. Q: What, or who, is "Northwest European"? A: Northwest European is the organization that was formed in 2001 to handle the planning, financing, and representation of the waterwagens event. In the future, Northwest European will be organizing other similar events for other makes of European automobiles and enthusiasts.
